Hey everyone, I'm hoping to get some advice from people who have been in a similar spot.
I'm getting called multiple times a day by a company called Spire Recovery Solutions. It's really starting to feel like harassment. I've read that they market themselves as having a professional, veteran-led operation, but the constant calls don't feel respectful at all.
From what I understand, I have rights under something called the FDCPA. I think they might be violating a few of them. They never sent me a written notice about the debt, which I've heard they're supposed to do within five days. The calls are also excessive and feel like they're designed just to annoy me into paying.
I want to make it stop. Can anyone share their experience with sending a cease and desist letter or disputing a debt? How do I formally demand they stop calling, and what should I document?
Any guidance on the right steps to take would be a huge help. Thanks.
